You have to give yourself the permission to be your authentic self and be okay with being disliked or mistunderstood. You owe it to yourself. Authenticity is so rare and honestly, a lot of people would be happier if they just lived in their truth. This is not to tell you what to do or how to live. But I encourage you to find out who you are, what you stand for and align your life with those beliefs.- The Notes of a Divine Woman
For starters, thank you to everyone who has supported my poetry blog thus far. I appreciate every like, comment and repost. It brings me great joy to know that my words resonate with people from all over the world! I am excited to announce that my book The Notes of a Divine Woman is available for purchase. It is a chapbook consisting of poems, dreams and quotes. The recurring themes are divine feminine energy, personal growth, relationships, spirituality and life purpose. The content was created over a two year span and is deeply personal. Below is a poem from the book titled, Shadow of the Day.
Fear silences my tongue
Because I know that my language is uncomfortable
I know that if I speak
The world’s ears will perk up
And that blows my cover
My mystery then exposed
Leaving me vulnerable
To the vultures of another night
But these emotions can no longer be contained
My veins are about to pop
My patience…hanging on a string
Temptation making love to the wind
I know that if I continue this silent affair
It will be an injustice to my sanity
Do I dare enter this game of devil’s advocate?
Is Russian Roulette a sweeter deal?
Or should I maintain my position as a shadow of the day?
