Aged Wine

One comment

He was seasoned

A product of his youth

Older than any other man of the past

He sent chills up my spine

I knew he was the one

Hesitant in my approach

The butterflies danced

Was I blushing?

Was I falling?

The perks of being a wallflower expired

I was forced to move center

Gravity on my heels

He was gentle, strong

Made me feel like a little girl

Who just ran into her crush

I felt safe with him

His pheromones comforted me

Wasn’t too sure about the other side

I jumped anyway
